Quinta das Chaquedas Historic Vineyards Red - Special Reserve
Historic Vineyards
Once upon a time, there was a Vineyard over 100 years old: O Tiroiro... which joined Ferrudura, a Vine of the same age and the same spirit, sheltered by the site. Together, like a beautiful love story, they formed a unique wine.
Centenarian. Resilient. Historic!
Ruby color, intense and clean, touches of grená, intense aromas of fruit, cherry, plum, wild berries, and cassis, interspersed with spicy notes. It also has a touch of French spice with wood roasted in the Mediterranean style; on the palate, it is wet and complex, highlighting the immortality and notoriety of this wine.
On the palate, it has a polished tannin by the aging and the climate, a high concentration of perfect balance and a texture of great elegance, a wine with seriousness and intense structure that finishes long, with a persistent and pleasant freshness.
More than 60 different and historic grape varieties were mixed in a harmonious symphony: Tinto Nacional, Francesa, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Francisca, Barroca, and Rufete, among many others.
Vinification in the traditional lagar with foot treading and temperature control. Schist soil on the banks of the Douro. Mediterranean climate.
