About us

At the last minute, Annie decided to book a wine tour through Airbnb Experience, discovering a single open seat next to the charismatic tour guide, Ricardo. He led the group through the breathtaking expanses of the Douro Valley, showcasing its lush vineyards and stunning landscapes. On the journey back, Annie and Ricardo found themselves immersed in conversation, sharing their passions and dreams. They envisioned creating a bridge between the world’s wine lovers and small, artisanal vineyards. And so, The Small Barrel was born—a venture born from shared dreams and a desire to celebrate the rich tapestry of wine.
